Intermediate Pianists

You're an intermediate level pianist and you're looking for a new teacher.  It is probably for one of two main reasons:

Somebody Moved!

Your teacher moved away or retired; or you just moved to a new neighborhood and are looking for a teacher.  Many students come to me on the recommendation of a friend, a piano store, or even from their previous teacher; understandably a little nervous about starting with someone new.  

You're unhappy with your current lessons

Sometimes students come to me ready to quit the piano altogether!  They are frustrated and losing interest, or their parents are impatient after years of lessons and seeing little progress.  Sadly, they even come to think that it is their children's limitations; maybe they just don't have the talent.

I promise you that you can play the piano to your personal satisfaction!  Work with me for a little while and you will improve steadily, and you will look forward to your next lesson, you will want to practice, and you will enjoy playing the piano.

This is the real thing.  High quality piano instruction, comprehensive and tailored to the way you learn.  

There are no shortcuts, no copy & paste program methods getting you to parrot songs instead of understanding music.  Just playing notes without knowing why you're playing them isn't fun; you won't grow, and you will lose interest very quickly.
